Is making some earnings in the first month realistic for a beginner?

Hey guys,
I’ve been thinking about trying affiliate marketing, but here’s my concern: I only have a little bit of time each day to work on it, and I feel like I’ll get discouraged if I don’t at least make something small in my first month.
Do you think that’s a realistic expectation, or am I setting myself up for disappointment?
If it’s possible, where would you recommend I start as a complete beginner?
Appreciate any advice :)

How can you really make anything in your first month? For what are you planning to either develop that is marketplace worthy, or show that is content related? Everyone can do what you can do in a month. What makes you so unique, that you think you "should" be paid in this length of time?

Its taken me years to build business that made a profit. I've also started a couple that made good profit, not long after I started, but that was only becuase I had skill already, and experience.

If your a complete noob, then no you can't earn in your first month, at least anything worthwhile, that could be called a business. Go ask the people that have business in your city. They all probably started with nothing, but at least you will give them a laugh if you tell them you want guarantees for your first month! lol

Where does your imagination meet reality? (what can you really do or offere people that is new and exciting for them to consume?)

I started small too and felt the same way. What helped me was joining a smaller network like AdsNextGen — they were more responsive compared to the big ones and gave me a clearer idea of what type of offers fit my traffic. You don’t need to overcomplicate things at the start, just test a couple of campaigns and build from there.
