Is making compilation videos dead?

I just created a channel uploading compilations of Got Talent's auditions. Basically I just put the video together without adding anything. I uploaded it but then removed since it did not show up in "Videos" my channel (only in the playlist). Then I reuploaded but failed due to duplication. Then I change order of the auditions and uploaded the last time. It went through but my video was blocked worldwide due to copyrighted content.
This is so weird because I found other channel doing it so well without getting any problems.
Any advice for me guys? Thanks all!!!

the fact that you're doing compilations is not a problem. the fact that you're using copyrighted content is - and you may get away with it in short run but you will eventually get banned.
