The quality of the screen graphics is huge compared to a PC... not even close and that is one of the features I really like.
Is MacBook really worth it?

You can buy notebook with the same specs as Mac Book and it will cost half what Mac book does. If you don't rely on MacOS, then there is no point buying overpriced piece of shit. It will break at some point and repair will cost you as much as a new machine.

Totally agree, worked in an office with no natural light for a contract. My eyes were so bad with PCs. Also, design work - always a Mac. The larger screens are indeed brilliant for those who want non portable. I have the largest screen sized one, number of years old now but for Photoshop, general stuff. Great.
Again I'd look at a reconditioned one as they really haven't changed much.
Edit: I put anti glare overlays up on my PCs. The warming apps etc, don't work. Your eyes will stream if you use a lot.

In my opinion everything apple makes is overpriced, macbook might be a good machine but if you are going to use it as you said for everyday stuff it ain't worth it...

Apple products are essentially no different than PCs. They use the same chips. Their OS is Linux based instead of DOS based. They tend to do better at video editing and can natively run python scripts (linux back-end), so they can be beneficial if you do a lot of coding or scripting. Where they really get people is their design and their ecosystem. If you're using a lot of apple products, they work best together on an apple computer. If you're using android or amazon stuff, or third party phones, then apple isn't really needed.
Of course, you can get a custom built PC and have them put Linux on it and then have a cheaper system that runs like an apple box, just without the flash and polish, if you really need the video editing and scripting power.

In all seriousness, for the needs you have described, there is no reason to pay a lot of money for a machine that is not going to be fully utilized. You should go for a PC within your budget. Acer is a good line for budget-friendly laptops... and, for sure, you should defer your purchase until Black Friday if possible.

It's not overpriced, you pay for quality! For the past 12 years, I used 3 macs, each one for over 5 years and only 1 a little less as my son spilled a glass of water in it (It worked a week after that before keyboard started to glitch, so I sold it). I have a Windows laptop as I need to run a single app, but even Windows works better on Mac.

Shitty keyboards, trackpad is too big, overheats like hell all the time (it hurts when you put it on your lap!). Constant fan spinning for no reason. Not durable at all (especially screen connection on new models).
I had Air and 3 Pros, all issued by my company.
I’d suggest taking a look at Dell XPS 13, Lenovo X1 Carbon, Microsoft Surface Pro

Apple has taken the thinness and lightweight obsession way to far. It's not even the price anymore that is the issue. What is the point of paying more and not being able to fully use a cpu because it throttles.
