Is Long Tail Pro The Best For....

Long tail pro blows monkey balls.
If you really need to buy a tool I'd say SEO Cockpit is one of the better keyword tools.
With that said, I have proprietary custom made bots built for a variety of different processes.
It really comes down to your needs. Some people are happy with generic keyword tools. Other people need tools that suit their specific workflow. You can also pay people who own the higher end tools to do research for you. But overall I hate long tail pro and think it's one of the shittiest keyword tools ever made.

If you're just dabbling, then use the free stuff out there and don't worry about it. I agree with the dude saying Longtail sucks. To each his own, of course, but I hated it and wouldn't use it if it were free.
KWD research is important, BUT, at the end of the day not much is new under the sun: if you want to rank keywords, you need LINKS LINKS and more LINKS. The better the quality of links, the fewer you need.

I personally think LTP doesnt bring much good keywords.
I use GKP for searching relevant kws.
Scrapebox for in search competition.
and free market samurai to check on-page competition.
And yes most importantly, your BRAIN!
