Is Link-building Really Worth It?

before answering that question you must understand what link-building is first.

Link building is the process of acquiring hyperlinks from other websites to your own.

And what link-building or backlinks are meant to search engines?
There are 2 ways a search engine might use the backlink
  1. To discover new web pages
  2. To help determine how well a page should rank in their results
By these 2 points it is safe to say that link-building does mean a lot to search engine and are totally worth it but the quality of the link or where the link is coming might be more important.

So what are your thoughts on this??

According to alot of knowledgeable people here its the best method (apart from quality content) of ranking effectively and quickly - depending on the quality of links of course
 
Yes,it is one effective method, a link from an authority site will help to improve site credibility and traffic to the site and avoid low quality links.

Link building is good, just gotta avoid bad neighborhoods. Bad links from crappy sites will do more harm than good.
What is a good link and what is a bad one? You need to test this out yourself and see what brings you the best results.
You also need to be not too aggressive with anchor texts.

Well you are in with a lot of headaches regarding information overload, I think SEO is very easy to understand, very difficult to conceptualize fully and horribly difficult to apply properly. Check some guides from respectable members to understand the different link types.
 
Yes, link building is always good for rank your website. Create quality backlink that improve ranking of your website

When you leave a link in a forum, for example, is to show a reference or more information on the subject and that's how search engines think of links. They send you to more information that's relevant to the info discussed on said forum/article/site/etc.
 
yes it's important. link building will make your site rank waay Faster.
 
In 2020 it's hard to succeed without link-building. It's like fighting with only one arm if you don't use this technique.
