Is link building on a parked/empty domain wrong?

I have a domain on which I want to use affiliate marketing in a few months.
I don't have anything on it atm. Should I park it / start a niche blog on it until the product i'll try to sell is out?
Also, is it wrong if i start to get some links for it before I open shop? Is it useless?

Dont park if you have some future plans with it.. keep it clean. Although it dosent matter the domain is parked or not, but better to be safe..

I am interested if I can start building links or not on an empty domain. I’m thinking it could affect my future rankings...

Yep, you can build links. But please make sure always use anchor nacked, brand and generic.

So targeting some specific long tail keywords without having any content would probably sandbox my site?
