I am targeting a keyword with around 40k+ monthly searches. I checked one of the competitor's website which is ranking third in google search results. It has around 9 backlinks and two of them are of very high quality(PR1 and good DA). Rest of them are not of good quality. Even on-page SEO is not commendable. I think only the backlinks are giving it good rank. I purchased a domain, applied a wordpress theme and hosted it. Outsourced content writing as I am not good at on-page SEO. After the content is up, I have planned to do the following - 1. 10 Web 2.0s linking back to my main website. These 2.0s are targeting low competition keywords so they should rank better on their own. All Do-follow links. I will do one web 2.0 everyday and link it back to my main site. After the 10, I will start social shares(no-follow) so that the velocity of links look steady and close to natural. 2. Purchase 5 high quality backlinks to my main website in addition to the web 2.0s. Are five sufficient enough? 3. Dripfeed paid traffic. Around 100 visitors per day for two months. Is it good to buy traffic? I thought of this so that the site gets initial visibility and after two months backlinks will be sufficient to get the traffic. Then I will stop paid traffic. 4. And the last question, should I go for tier 1 and tier 2 backlinks? Tier 1 will be through article submissions in high DA websites and tier 2 will be my web 2.0s. With the competition I see, I don't think two tiers are required. Some expert advice will be helpful so that I can plan my approach from today as content will arrive today. Thanks for your time! P.S - I am aiming at consistent and long-term ranking so I am not in a hurry. Suggest accordingly.
