Hi, I have a question about the language used on your websites.
I was told by a seemingly quite reputable member that language is not really important for SEO. So, when using some services offered here on bhw, I let people submit articles in English with my (foreign language) keywords, to several platforms and sites.
So, basically, now, I have a lot of articles all over the internet, in English, linking to my website. Only, the keyword used to link to my site, is of course in the foreign language of my choice.
Now.. As mentioned before, I've been told that this is not a problem with SEO. Google doesn't care about language...
But, I've been thinking : how on earth can google know that my keyword (linking to my website) actually fits the subject of the article? Google sees an English article, and in there my foreign keyword. But, how does google know that my keyword has anything to do with the rest of the text? And thus, wouldn't it be so that this article, this backlink, will be seen as a backlink with less relevance?
So, please, could some one enlighten me? I would like to know what you guys think about this?
Maybe it would be nice for other members to know too. Because I know there are many members here, using services from other bhw members, and letting them post English articles with their foreign keywords embedded. Which I am now starting to think of as a bad strategy. (correct me if I'm wrong, please)
