is keyword revealer reliable?

Hello people, (This is probably more for noobs)

Just a heads up for those using keyword revealer, the keyword difficulty scores seem to vary wildly from Moz keyword difficulty scores. Just as an example I've just checked a keyword which "keyword revealer" ranked as 15 - Extremely low competition, I then checked it on "Moz' keyword difficulty tool" and it has a difficulty score of 45% - moderate.

I've had quite a lot of these just lately, does anyone know why its such a big difference? I can understand when there is a bit of a difference between them as the two tools must use different criteria to judge difficulty but these are in totally different ball parks.

You should define the competition of a keyword by checking link profile and other shiz,not with mozcrap difficulty checker or wtf it is.

Fair point Forest, the only reason i brought it up though was because i've seen quite a bit of reference to these tools on this site.
I did point out it is probably more aimed at noobs (which you don't appear to be), i just wanted them to be aware that these difficulty scorings may not be that reliable.

Keep it really simple and try market samurai to get a fell of the difficulty level. I use it and works really good.
