Is keyword research so important?

hello guys :)

i made a simple blogger blog with the minecraft niche, but not keygens or something like that something else.

so i want to make it popular. first thing i think is keyword researching. i cant do that so i will let fiverr do it...

but why is that so important ? what i will get if i order a keyword research gig?
and what next? should i buy after it backlinks with the keywords i got?

Keyword research is in fact important, if you want to sale shoes you cant have a keyword on horses as an example.

But stil if you get the right kind of traffic from FB, YT or twitter, or even other sources you could still make sales

yes the most important step is keyword research if you pick the wrong keyword then you will fail in the results and not matter how it's perfect your other steps , e.g if you pick keyword like "car insurance" and pay $$$$ on seo services you will get $ 0 income , and you can pick other keyword and make $$$ from it without investment ......., so yeah it's important , and you don't need to outsource to fiverr a lot of good tutorials about KW research you can read by yourself .......
 
without keywords how will you rank you'r website i mean if you dont even know for what keyword people searching more how will you rank?

Why is it so important? Keyword research can be the most important step in creating a website. With keyword research you can find keywords that are uncompetetive, lucrative and rankable.

Choosing the wrong keyword can doom your site from the start, make sure you pick a fiverr gig with a high rating so you know you are getting a proper service. As for backlinks i do not trust Fiverr backlinks, but i have friends who have used them to some success.
 
Keyword research means market research in IM...

If you don't look at the ROI for the markets, niches and sub-niches you're in in-depth, how can you ever expect to make a profit?

Your research is about MUCH more than volume. You're looking at a combination of factors as to whether a market is viable; the volume, per unit value, overall commerciality/likelihood of conversion/sale, and your ability to rank/place in a realistic time-scale that fits your model (SEO/PPC etc.)
 
Very important, but not necesarilly connected with high efforts.

What I do:
step1: check G external keyword tool, looking for e.g. 10k monthly search sub-niches with low competition (this is adwords!)
step2: check exact keyphrase in G seach: "this is my low comp keyphrase", filter out those with many exact results
==> list of some good keywords

Avoid 1-term keywords like "viagra" or "diet" or "healt" no chance at all, definitely
Look in step 1 for long-tail subniches, probably 3-termed keyphrases

Not saying my approach is the best, many others use some commercial software. I just use common sense and G tools.

EDIT:
Just a sample; approach above for BH sites where you don't have to invest much money (captcha, content) and time. For WH sites it makes sense to invest more time, certainly.

Is there a market? Is there a product? Is there low competition? Can I rank with low efforts?

yeah.. keyword research is the first thing to do when you need free traffic from search engines.

common mistake when not doing keyword research is getting 0 or less traffic from a certain keyword you choose..
 
You will be surprised to find out that no one is searching a keyword you might feel is brilliant.
Keyword research is very important to be sure you are not working to receive nothing.
 
It is not really that important if you want to spend months ranking a keyword that no one searches for. Or if you do not want to find a highly searched for keyword with no competition that even a monkey could rank.
 
I would say and approach for Authority sites covering a whole niche and taking care of LSI Keywords would get you ranked for thousands of long tail keywords. 1 time search keywords contribute in +50% of whole search market.

However at least you need to make sure what your are trying to rank for :)
 
keywords help people find what their looking for...duh, of course it's important.
 
Yes, Keyword Research is crucial to being successful. Think for a moment, keywords are how your potential customers or traffic will find you and without putting an emphasis on keywords will cause you to receive much less traffic and you'll be far from your true potential.
 
Yes keyword research is very important because its finding traffic your not yet targeting and traffic = money so you better do your keyword research. I also want to add that google claimed on their blog once that there are millions of new keywords each day that where never searched before so because there is always new keywords being searched for you should always be doing keyword research.
