Hi ,

I heard that keyword meta tags are dead is it true.What I think is, not dead because there are so many websites they are ranking with keyword meta tags.Is there any official update regarding keyword meta tag.

Put it this way, it's the first time I've heard anyone talking about keyword meta tag for about 10 years :-/

Been dead for some years. You can still use them but it won't help.

A lot of Seo plugins and CMS still use the keyword fields, pretty outdated


Major search engines haven't used them for years. A quick Google will confirm

Maybe it's not as effective as before but it can still contribute on your ranking somehow.
