Guys i invested in a project and don't wanna get hacked or something like that later on by someone who has files on my pc, so i have kaspersky total security, i did run the full test and it says that everything is good.

so my question is, is everything really good or do i have to reseet my pc??

thank you

There are always Trojans that are fud and are not detected by antivirus system.

If you download unknown programs, I recommend that you run them on a VMware for the time being.

Alternatively, you can upload the programs several times on virustotal.com and let all antivirus systems check them.

Just use a virtual machine or use Linux or both If you are very serious about security.

Nothing is perfect by any means security wise but the software seems decent to me overall one of the best I think even Facebook use it for security services.

Best advice I could give you this

Don't download anything which seems weird or strange it's free meaning less likely to get hacked software or so.
If you go onto a site and you think"oo this looks kind strange" then don't stay or download things from it.

If you get a email which says something like this"Hi you won $2million" don't open it

Install extensions that seem like they are not popular not being updated in a while. Don't install it.

If you do these things you should be safe enough Windows wise for most of what you do things.

Aside from the active malware scanner in windows and a firewall, Not much else is needed until after the fact (everyone gets pwned eventually, that's when these tools come into practice). Good common sense opsec will save you a headache. Or as others suggested, ditch windows entirely, Not that Linux is 100% safe either. At the end of the day, most security breaches don't happen because of the computer or os, they happen to the component sitting between the chair and the keyboard, IE you. Don't be retarded and you won't get malware.

You need a good firewall like Comodo, not Kaspersky.
Btw, Kaspersky is not safe. It's linked to FSB (ex KGB).
Windows isn't safe by default it got a native keylogger, it listens to your mic, the bitlocker used to encrypt storage has backdoors in it, this is a terrible operating system the best way to use windows is on a virtual machine.

  1. Data syncing is by default enabled.
    • Browsing history and open websites.
    • Apps settings.
    • WiFi hotspot names and passwords.
  2. Your device is by default tagged with a unique advertising ID.
    • Used to serve you with personalized advertisements by third-party advertisers and ad networks.
  3. Cortana can collect any of your data.
    • Your keystrokes, searches and mic input.
    • Calendar data.
    • Music you listen to.
    • Credit Card information.
    • Purchases.
  4. Microsoft can collect any personal data.
    • Your identity.
    • Passwords.
    • Demographics.
    • Interests and habits.
    • Usage data.
    • Contacts and relationships.
    • Location data.
    • Content like emails, instant messages, caller list, audio and video recordings.
  5. Your data can be shared.
    • When downloading Windows 10, you are authorizing Microsoft to share any of above-mentioned data with any third-party, with or without your consent.

Well there is always a little bit of doubt in these sort of things , I would say go along with it you will definitely know if something goes wrong and when you feel that immediately change it ..

I have been studying cybersecurity for many years now, and all I wanna say is as long as it is connected to the internet, it is vulnerable. Try to avoid downloading anything on that machine as you may get malware complied with it, and do not install any unnecessary application. Do not plug any storage device which is not yours or unknown.

Honestly I've tried other viruses and Avast is the most developed one i found. Itdoesnt mess up your mac.
I can't say anything because I have never in 30+ years of using computers have had to deal with nasty viruses. So, I guess, I have been lucky in this regard, and for my situation any antivirus will do the job just fine, which is why I never understood this "this AV is the best" thing. For me they all do the same thing, so I don't know if there's even such a thing as "the best AV", which is why I asked.
