Is it wrong to post the same pics more than once on IG?

Hi,

I have an IG account where I advertise my products. Is it wrong to post the same pic more than once. I have 17 posts right now all unique but what if I want to rotate those 17 post and post them over and over. Is that bad IG etiquette?

why not get hundreds of posts and run those over and over again? Then it will be hard to check.

I know it's against IGs terms but I've done it a few times. If you were to do it, I'd recommend doing it with more than 17 posts as Omirag suggests. It is bad etiquette IMO.

I can. But it takes me some time. Usually when I design it I create it in the FB format and twitter first. Then convert it into a square for instagram. So it takes me some time.

Thanks for the heads up. Didnt know it was against IG's terms. What if I were to delete the older posts so that there would be no dupes?

I would rather delete the older posts before posting the same photo so there would be no duplicates since you're only using 17 photos at the moment.

I think I will just leave as is. I want to have some post history and likes. My account is at least 3 years old and I dont want to have posts that are only days old.

its not wrong to upload same pic... but its just look spammy and people would re think to follow your account when it look spammy =)

Yea I agree. I guess im gonna have to just create new ones all the time. Its that I put love into creating my graphics so it takes me some time. Thanks for all the replies.

you could use many usefull apps to create those lovely graphics in no time... monkeypic or piktochart maybe

You should not have any troubles as long as your not going crazy with it.

Thanks. I just feel like I dont post enough because I have alot of things going on and sometimes weeks go by in between posts.

You can use the same image several times. But it is necessary to do it through a large number of other images and with different filter.

Another way you could approach it would be to have a "throwback" theme with a refreshed caption. Basically share a previous post, but also acknowledging that it's been posted before.

I sometimes repost the same image, but only if it's a higher performing image and i don't post until at LEAST 3-4 weeks in between the posts
