I am in health niche and affiliate marketer. Of late when I do long tail keyword research I find healthline(dot)com site ranking in most of the keywords. My question is it worth to compete with such site? My site has 34 DA and 45 PA and is 8 years old. Is it money and time waste or is there any way my site can out rank this site. Compared to their content quality am almost on par or better. Thanks in advance for your valuable suggestions...

If it's long tail keyword, yes you can out rank. Make sure your guest posts are from some of the best health niche sites.

Yes that’s a famous site, but you can beat it just plan your seo well

If you have to spend money on contents and links, not worth it maybe.

It is possible, but it will take a solid time. Plan your SEO strategy, keep the site active, add powerful links, improve the quality of traffic and keep monitoring site performance.

Health-related niches (including med marijuana) is getting tougher due to the Google E-A-T protocol....

With that said, if you have more AUTHORITATIVE content that has more citations and is longer or are actual statements from doctors you should be fine

yes it's possible but you need some good plan such as you need powerful link, guest post from best health related niche site, quality traffic.

It is possible to outrank them if your page is more focused on the topic and when the authority page is not. But if the authority page is covering every aspect of the topic, then it would be hard.

1 site out of 10 on the first page. Not everyone clicks on the same link. If you can make a living from 7+ then good on you.

Your niche is very sensitive. Plus Healthline has a better E-A-T score than you. But if you say you are DA 34, then you have chances of moving up the ladder. Some well researched Long-tail keywords can outrank the Healthline. But it will take time to outrank them in all KWs completely.

I'd do some competitive research of their site and look at what they are ranking for. I'm sure there are keywords there that they aren't targeting that you can easily target and rank for. Your question is pretty general but the short answer is that absolutely.. yes it's still worth it.
