Is it worth using a bot on Instagram nowadays?

Is it as easy as it used to be, no - are people still doing it, yes of course.

What you need is:

1- Find a good social media automation tool (you can check the marketplace here in BHW).
2- Follow best practices:
  • Make sure that you use scrapers to do the necessary API calls on behalf of your main account.
  • Don't use the same IP between your main and scraper accounts.
  • Use proxies if you are running multiple accounts.
  • Don't use the same bio, posts, links, post caption ..etc across many accounts. Keep every account unique.
  • Don't use spam words (free, freebie, $$$, sex, xxx, bonus ..etc ) in your comments, DMs, posts caption ..etc.
  • Use multi-level spin syntax if you are doing comments or sending DMs.
  • Do a reasonable number of actions per hour and per day.
  • Avoid logging in to the account on other devices/browsers while they are executing actions on your automation tool.
It will be hard at first, but you will learn and improve as time goes by.

First of all, you need good proxies for Instagram nowadays.

You will scale bot easier than manually on phones.

Assuming idea is to have more than 2 phones.
Agree, but most of the people don't afford the mobile bots, which are pretty pricey

Depends on the bot. Follow unfollow but we DONT recommend but a good bot doing views on other profiles stories is great to get attention. Important is to use a mobile proxies of the country to avoid blocking.

I know limits are atrocious but is it possible to automate likes/follows without getting restricted/shadowbanned?

Restrictions have a lot to do with how many people report you and your overall activity. The algorithm is very complex and nobody aside from IG actually knows how it works. You may be able to like and follow a big number of people daily if your participation is overall viewed as positive.
