Is it worth upgrading to aMember 4?

Hey,

So I have an aMember 3.x license which expired, but I can renew it (and get 4.0 license) for $80. The question is, is it really worth it? Is 4.0 really a lot better than 3.x? I went over the demo and there's a lot of UI changes, but what are the new features?

Also, should I go with DAP instead of aMember? It's twice the price, but it looks like it offers more features.

yea, i have it...I'm not gonna say it's the holy grail of memberships scripts but it def has some new options there and has a help desk in there too so u can keep a good communication with customers is it worth 80 bucks YES! is it all be all and will change your life forever NO! lol

Hmm helpdesk like a ticket support system? If so, then that's really cool! I've been looking for a good (free) ticket system and didn't find any.

Even if you find a decent support system for free (which actually exists) but having it integrated with your membership script is another thing. I always prefer to have both billing and support integrated. Makes management for the owner a lot easier and saves the client from signing in to 2 different systems to request support.

I see that amember v4.0 has a much cleaner interface than the old crappy gui used in v3.x and with a support system integrated I would seriously consider it.

I've just sent them an email asking if I could change the domain. If they say yes, I'm sold.

One more question though, how does it compare to DAP? Is DAP worth paying ~$80 more? I don't like WordPress (it can be a resource hog) though.
