Is it worth to make these sites with huge competition?

Like : Imagehost, Proxy site, Wallpaper site, Youtube Clone, Arcade and so on, I think you got it.

Or should I think of something original?
I mostly just want to optimize them and then sell, not for long term income.

My plan is to sell several of these and then buy good site on Sitepoint.

What do you think?

i would say bad idea...!!

think of something orignal.. its not that hard... n the results with the same imput will be enormous! :)

yeah too much competition means failure unless you really know what you are doing, I think there are so many untapped markets out there that its just a matter of finding them.

Then I'd disagree with what's already been said given your stated goal.

If you're just building the sites to flip them right away for a quick profit so you can build funds for a bigger site purchase then who cares what the genre competition is. You won't be competing with them.

Your only competition here will be other site flippers, and you're going to be competing with them for buyers no matter what topic or genre you build your sites around.

The thing to think about is what do buyers want? For instance, if you plan to sell your sites on ebay I'd say stay with what's known, you're going to be dealing with lots of noobs who heard they can make money online with a web site and will be more attracted to a clone of something they already know like YouTube or Arcade sites then they will be to some new and unproven concept site.

If you were building these to keep and run yourself I'd say go with something new and improved, but to sell off I say go with what buyers will be most attracted to and willing to invest in. Get scripts for each type of site, grab some cheap domains and mass produce for flipping, that's my advice.

Yeah that is what I mean, after seeing responses I think I will try to get like first thousand in CPA of any affiliate program and buy a good site.

Thank you!
