Is it worth monetizing movies site with CPM ads??

My Idea:

Embed movies or TV shows from video hosting website to my website and then monetize it with CPM ads.

So I need suggestion from guys who are into this or have experience about this. I know that earning from CPM is low as compared to CPA. But I have seen that many people are annoyed by the survey thing including me. I also know that with CPM you won't get good earning in the start of the journey as compared to CPA. However I will benefit in long run.

Why not CPA?

As I mentioned above that from what I think is that some people are annoyed by filling form each time they want to watch a movie and also some don't like to give their personal information. Moreover there are few countries where these surveys are not coming and sometimes the survey doesn't get unlocked and direct to another survey. So the visitor gets frustrated and then leaves.

Why CPM?

I know that earning rate is very low and it will take time to grow your earning but still I think this is a wise choice. I can embed the video in the center of the page and then put ads around the video or something like this.


This is just my idea. I want you people to give suggestions that whether should I start or not.

P.S. Right now in the beginning I won't put any money I will start with free service then slowly as I see progress I will start to put money.

The ad networks that allow video directories like the site you are planning to do usually pay quite low or require insane amount of visitors to get accepted.
Also you should have in mind that if you plan on letting people stream the videos from your site you will probably need VPS. Normal hosting won't cut it if you have thousands of users online all the time

I would like to know If anyone currently doing this ?

I have a streaming site and I'm doing very well with adnetworks.
Most of my traffic is form US (about 80%) and I get over 1$ ecpm on standard banners.
So you can make great revenues on streaming sites with adnetworks (but you need traffic from GEO's like US and UK if you'll have most of your traffic from India than the ecpm will drop to 0.01).

Dude CPM earning is too low..i have free download site and i have filled with 15k post of movie , music and apps and i was geting daily 3k Visitor but the earning is too low..i had sold that website in $100 and right now i am making again new one and going to put the content locker..even 30 person converts it will give you $30 and for CPM you need to generate too much visitor and it's always time consuming..According to my suggestion CPA is far far better then CPM..

But if you have Strong plan and you know how it Works then Go to CPM..
