Is it worth it to upgrade in Chatgpt plus?

Best is to test it yourself and you will know if it's worth it or not

Does the paid version stops writing after around 1000 words and you have to type "continue" for it to continue ? (like the free version)

Does the upgrade version writes better write with more human /personal touch?

Happy 1st may !

I want to use chatgpt for copywriting and analyzing data. I've seen prompts in social media online, and tutorials as well.

I want to know for users who are in Plus subscription if how are they doing so far? if they were satisfied with their upgrade? or is it just overhyped?
Not really. There are free alternatives now.

if you have budget and also gonna use it a lot the answer is yes. i dont really mind the speed but gpt4 is better than 3.5

If you are not using it for a productive reason i won't advice you upgrade, you can even wait for the next updated GPT if you want to explore.

Just a heads up, the Plus accounts are not the best ones for GPT4, they are limited.

I pay $60 a month for a 2 user team account.

I only use 1 user account, and do not use the second account. The reason why, is I was maxing out limits on the $20/month plan, and the min for a team account is 2 users at $30/month. The team user accounts are unlimited, plus accounts are limited and throttled when you near it's usage cap(for a certain amount of hours, it does reset).

If you are a heavy user, the team account is better, even if you are one user.

The $20/month accounts are throttled if you are doing high volume complex prompt(and before it tells you you're hit the limits, it starts spazzing out and slacking on results, and acting like it's incapable of remember previous things in the chat, or saying it can no longer do things like output HTML when it actually can usually).

If you generate more that 100,000 words a day, and you use it multiple hours per day, the plus account hits it's limits and does a poorer job than the team accounts, even if you never use the second user(which you wont need too, since each individual account is unlimited, but you only get unlimited with team accounts, not plus accounts).

However, if you are a light user, the free GPT 3.5 version is fine(but 4 is more advanced).

While I don't use the Opera browser for browsing, I use it for GPT, since it's built in, and the UI is good.

Depends on your needs, in my opinion as programmer its good, because he will find solution for your problems online.

Total worth it. I am using it everyday and becoming my assistance in real life scenarios

Long time subscriber,
I wouldnt subscribe rn when there's llama3 out which you could use for ridiculously cheaper + a somewhat better result. Although I'm still subscribed since if they release something really cool like a search engine or GPT5 I dont want to be stuck in a waitlist and I'll 'waste' $20 retaining my subscription.

But moneywise, pound for pound, using some frontend like LMStudio with the API (no code needed, just a program you download and get an API key from a place like openrouter) will be much cheaper and just as good, unless you really value customGPT's.

Without reading any of the comments, its worth it!
3,5GPT and 4,0GPT - its a HUGE(!) difference.
Additionally, you have custom GPTs provided by good Developers, making your life easier. There are so many benefits—I calculate the ChatGPT costs now into my regular expenses since they help me be more productive and much more.
You can use GPT Plus for so many things; therefore, it's beneficial if you use it properly.
Give it a shot for one month, and try- and then you can still unsubscribe.

Best, zotix.

EDIT//I am an extensive user of the API for GPT4 as well.

Based in my personal experience, it is worth it to upgrade for the chatgpt+ because it makes everything super easy especially when you understand prompt engineering!

Llama3 looks like an complicated server setup ?

Its a "complicated server setup" only if you want to host it on your computer, but there's services which charge per use like openai, azure, openrouter, etc.
So its openai, azure, and openrouters job to host it on their computers then they give you an API key to use.
Openrouter is somewhat different because it hosts a wide variety of open source models, including llama3, while openai and azure are more limited.
LmStudio, which I mention because its the only "1 click download" frontend ive used, will have a place for you to input your API key so you can then call the models.

Worth it better than dumb 3.5 they already made gpt 4 dumb by introducing gpt 5. But to be sincere chatgpt been good.

I just realized I should have been using GPT4 Turbo with tokens for even higher limits and larger outputs(which I'm guessing you can do starting with your single account? Idk, all I know is with GPT Turbo and buying tokens, it can do max 300 page outputs per prompt, so which means I can set up big batches now

If it brings you more income or makes your job easier, it is certainly worth it.

I don't see much point in this, since most of the other needs can be obtained in another way
