Hi

I have the perfect name but available only with the .org extension. So should I go forward? what are the biggest cont and pro for a .org domain?
I have an amazon affiliate web and get prepared for a subscription plan...

IMO, if the domain name is very good yes, otherwise I prefer .com (or .fr vive la France :)

Nothing wrong with a .org domain but .com portrays more trust to the avg user

People here will tell you that .com is king...and they’re right. It’s the most widely used extension for a reason.

That being said, people don’t really see .org as less trustworthy. So if you like the name grab the .org. Just don’t be annoyed when people always remember your website as yourwebsite.com instead of .org

Provided they have autocomplete on their browser, that wouldn't be a problem.

I'm also running amazon affilate web on .org domain beacuse the perfect name (EMD domain) just available only with the .org so I decide to go with that, so far the result its not different with other site using .com or etc. the main factor on my affilate site is just on content and web design to gain more sales :)

I think it would be fine. The most trusted domains for me are .com | .net | .org ... and a couple more so if the name is worth it go for it. But I normally generalise .org with ‘free’ or information available to all.
