Is it worth it? I ask because I know that unless you pay most of your fans don't see your posts. So wouldn't it be better to create a regular Facebook account? You can have followers after all with a regular account. I realize they both have their perks, but with the fact that only a small percentage of fans even see your posts just doesn't seem worth it.

Yes its still good to make a fanpage since you can still use it for traffic generation. what i would do is make a fanpage then
promote it to groups so you will get tons of likes then post some viral video to the page

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. But as far as promoting goes, would you promote it as your fanpage or as your Facebook profile page?

it is always better to create fanpage!
it creates a brand!
and if you post some interesting things on it and you have real likes then it can be a good source of highly targeted traffic!

You will have to work so hard at the beginning to share the page with another page.Sometimes those people will never share your page back as well.

I am thinking of closing my business fanpage. I couldn't see the benefit anymore.

Would it make more sense to drive traffic directly from FB groups to your website?

I don't know for other countries, but i can't create any ads without inserting a fanpage, even when you run ads directly to your website.

A page is more business oriented, an account is more personal oriented, you should use both to promote what you're promoting anyway, just interlink them, but definitely don't skip the building a page step, it's quite important.

yes, if the traffic is good and the ads or link gets some good clicks, then you can use them to promote a website or advertise
