Is It Worth Buying Scrapebox Still?

Scrapebox is an essential tool that would fit well in any IMer's toolbox. Regardless of if you're going to use it for it's purported purposes (i.e. scraping and commenting), the add-ons alone make it worth 10x it's price.

Just be aware that if you plan on maximizing it's effectiveness, there are also extra costs involved. I would suggest at minimum, 10 private proxies, and if you can afford it, a VPS.

Private proxies for: Higher success rate when posting, running add-ons, and for making it run that much smoother and effectively. I seldom use regular proxies anymore because they are just too difficult to harvest (for me, anyway).

I use the VPS to save on bandwidth (because Scrapebox eats it up quickly), because it's faster than my home connection, and just in case I get virus, it won't be up on native PC.

I just recently bought it myself and I gotta tell you it is just great. Makes backlinking so much easier.

I just came across this thread because my finger is currently hovering over the 'buy' button and I wanted to check something out before I take the plunge.

So I only have one site I need to promote but it's not a niche site it's the website for my family's business. Only problem is that it's got a lot of competition so I need to try and get it to page one.

So far I've got it to page 2 by just creating a shit load of web 2.0s backlinked to the site and getting them indexed at google.

Now I'm thinking the next step is to hammer the web 2.0s with blog comments but doing it manually is taking too long - am I right in thinking that Scrapebox is the tool to do this with?

I find new uses for Scrapbox all the time. It's the best $57 I have spent.
