Is it worth? Will it boost your website authority?

Because, some SEO people say its waste and it is worthless.

I would say they are good if you have diverse kind of other backlinks
 
Yes these are good. Few people selling these on marketplace.
 
I use them too, it's better to have them than not. But the benefit is very minimal, don't expect these links to be as powerdul as a pbn/guest post.

If you can make them relevant to your site, then go for it!
 
No until your site has gained more trust to google. It will add no value in my personal opinion.
 
I will consider those site which shows only little bit improvement. Not having high improvement as Guest posting and PBN.
