So, I have been creating and managing multiple social media accounts. Every time a human verification / captcha popped up, the account growth lost its traction. How valid is this ?

It's a real pattern, but the arrow probably doesn't point the way you're reading it. A verification check isn't a penalty the platform applies to an account, it's a symptom of whatever made that session look automated, so a fresh address, a device fingerprint the account hasn't used before, or actions arriving faster than a person would produce them. Those same signals are what quietly damp the account's reach, so growth and captchas share a cause rather than one causing the other.

The useful part is that this is testable before you rebuild your whole routine. Take one account, clear the check, and change nothing else, no new proxy, no new device, same posting rhythm. If it picks up again over a week or two, the check was a flag and not a sentence. If it stays flat while a comparable account that never saw a check keeps moving, then something is attached to the account itself rather than to that one session, and that's a different problem with a different fix.

Your botnet of accounts is most likely getting flagged, could be as simple as a low quality (flagged) IP or a webRTC leak. Pretty hard to pinpoint without knowing more details.
