Will buying expired domains with high DA and reusing them for new content really improve Google rankings?

Buying expired domains can help, but DA alone isn’t enough. What really matters is the backlink profile clean, niche-relevant, no spammy anchors. If the domain had real authority links and you rebuild content in a similar niche, rankings can move faster. But if the domain was abused before or has toxic links, it usually won’t help long term. I’ve seen some gains, but it depends on how natural the rebuild looks to Google.

And you have to apply the technique correctly as well. Putting 3 shitty Chatgpt generated articles won't exactly have an effect.

That's the part where I said "in most cases".
Casino and other super ultra spam niches in random foreign locales are exception. If you want to work with those niches, then rules are vastly different.

It can help but not just because of DA. What really matters is the backlink profile and whether the links are still live and relevant to your new content. If the domain has strong, clean backlinks and no spammy history, rebuilding it or redirecting it can pass some authority. But if you just buy a domain for high DA without checking the link quality, it usually won’t give much benefit.

Expired domains have value, that's why they come with a price - whether for hosting a site or as PBN's.

High authority expired sites works better than new fresh sites if the niche matches. And that is the hardest part.
