Is It Time for an Anonymous Lounge?

Purely inspired from Facebook Groups!

What if we had a space where people could share experiences, ideas, and confessions without revealing identity? Many users hesitate to share personal stories or bold opinions. Would an anonymous mode encourage honesty, creativity, and learning? What’s your take?

Would that make conversations richer or riskier or funnier or let others learn the experiences?

Does Xenforo platform have an option for that?

If we want to 100x the amount of spam bhw already gets then it's a great idea.

In reality though bhw is already relatively anonymous.

Just don't link your personal details with an account you make here.

We all have an identity within BHW right.. Just an idea of keeping the chaos separate from the career, okay?

BHW also allows pseudo anonymity (usernames instead of real names).

I think it's extremely unlikely that we will implement this and, from my own experience, I think the negatives of such a section would greatly outweigh the positives.

As has been mentioned above, BHW (and many other forums and platforms) already give room for a large amount of anonymity by not asking members for real names or any personal information. Members can be as anonymous and private as they want to be. Also:-

Do you have evidence of this? I've rarely seen anyone say that they're reluctant to share these things on here, unless I'm missing something.

An anonymous / account-free section would be open to major abuse and would be carte blanche for anyone to say anything they want without fear of ban or account censure. It would also create a huge amount more work for the Community team, and we're already busy all the time.

I just think it would create a lot of bad will and drive more people away from the forum than it would attract.

We will leave this topic open for a while though, just to hear the thoughts of others on it.

Do you realize some people actually create new accounts like burner accounts... just so they can shit-post on members or call someone out, knowing very well that the account will eventually get banned?

Completely anonymous section would be way more chaotic than the fun in it
