Before using expired domains check the backlinks of the domain, verify is there any manual penalty to the domain, check the anchor profile and check the Google Adsense ban.

well, it's no problem to use expired domain, but I have some suggestions which I get from my experience that use unique up, disavow spam backlinks and block web archive from robot.txt
