I'm a newbie, I've read that 2 accts would be ok, and I've also read otherwise, so I'm a bit confused. The bot is used only for following and liking (no comments or DMs)

If you are not doing aggressive marketing then its ok , try to be in limits and don't do aggressive marketing.

I wouldn't do that without a proxy to be honest with you, however, I'm not sure how dangerous it can be.

I forgot to add: I created both of these accounts from my residential ip, does this mean twitter already knows they are already linked? Is it even worth it to go through the trouble of setting up a proxy then?

I'm following 100 accts 4 days a week, and 3 days a week I'm unfollowing 100 accts. I also like less than 100 tweets per day. Both accounts are over 8 months old. I believe these settings are conservative, correct me if I'm wrong (as I said before, I'm a newbie)

I use 2 accounts with massplanner and been using for a year and all has been working well for me. Just don't try to follow or favorite a crazy amount hourly.

Using a bot without proxy is too risky for me though I don't really recommend using a bot in any way. You just have to make sure that you are using those bots in a natural way. Avoid spamming and using it aggressively.

I run 5 accounts without proxy, all automated by a Wordpress plugin, never happened anything bad to them, and all of them are growing quickly in their own niches.

So there's not risk at all, unless you start doing aggresive or bulk actions.

I run 3 twitter accts, created in 08, 16 and 18. On the older ones I do up to 900 follow/like actions per day. On a 2018 one about 400 since January (started with 50/day + 20 increase per day). All is fine so far and I don't use proxies. Got a couple password reset requests on 2018 one, but that's it. None since 2 weeks ago.

However on 4+ acct I will definitely use a hq proxy. Unfollows don't count since Twitter apparently doesn't care. Just did unfollow over 5k users across all 3 accts in a single day and everything is fine.

Some say you can run up to 10, some up to 5, personally I prefer to play it safe and run only 3 per proxy or residential IP.
