Is it really worth it?

Ok, this is a scenario and I want to know is it worthwhile in the end.

Lets assume you became rich (a millionaire or something) through IM, stocks, or whatever profession. Without a doubt, a trail of people will start coming to you begging you to teach them. It could be your friends, family members, strangers, or whoever.

But is it really worthwhile to actually teach them ?
I mean, when we all start out (whether is it IM, trading, or whatever).. we sacrifice a lot to get where we are.
For instance, IMers took the time to learn every single thing, browsing forums and doing countless research or even sacrificing some of your social life... then you're imparting or teaching this expensive (in terms of time spent or any monetary spending made) knowledge to a someone or a student whom spent NOTHING at all.
Perhaps it's totally fine teaching someone like your sibling or someone related to you.
But when it comes to other people...
Is it REALLY worthwhile?
I mean, usually MOST people would learn everything and forget about you in the end. Or if you decline to teach them, they will backmouth you calling you an arrogant, stuck-up, or success has changed you to an evil person.

I mean.. jeez, what's your opinion?

I am 16 and I get asked all day, because I make 5k online (euro's) every month

is it worth it to tell them? NO sorry but it takes so much time to learn everything etc. it takes year before you make 1 million and explaining that to a new IM is hard

Well I would say it depends on the person you're teaching. If your friend/family is already well established then the chances are that they would just ignore you when they learn everything from you.
But if you teach someone who is really in need of money to live up, most probably, they will not let you down.

There are good people in this worlds as well as bad. Decision is up to you.

It like this if the person has no idea what your talking about then yhere no point as all you say will go in one ear and out the other ear but if there is someone who knows abit and realise what you are talking about then its a good thing as you would be helping them there is no harm in that and so what if they forget you in the end thats there loss you will get the rewards for helping them

Well, I will never ever tell to anyone. At the time when I was starting off, my family members laughed at me and now every one asking how you make,etc.. its my turn to laugh now!

Personally, I don't believe in letting out my trade secrets- especially when it is something for which I have worked my ass off. People will always ask you what and how you do to make money, and to teach them too.

But just look back to see how many of them were around when you were not making any money. Did they really helped you back then when you needed it? If they did they you should certainly help them in return, if they didn't then tell them to GTFO.

I remember a fellow BHW member made this quote, it goes something like "When you become successful, the ones around you look at themselves and ask where's their success and they feel they are part of your success".

I think it comes down to whether you're happy with what you have.

If you are, you'll want to see someone as happy as you. If you're not satisfied, you'll want to devote your time until you reach that satisfaction.

Hell no, been down that road. You'll end up wasting all your time on people who aren't really committed and who just want a free lunch. I'm deliberately super vague about exactly what I do and how much I make, even with my really close friends.

Regarding teaching others.. I read an interesting quote about IM..

IM is like swimming, even if I taught it to you for 6 months, you won't be able to swim unless you go out there yourself and in the water and try yourself.
