is it possible to retheme a reddit account?

hey i have an existing reddit account with 6k karma but i'd like to retheme it (change username, and change posts) so i can use it for some other purpose. is it possible to do this or will the account just get banned?

Nope , is not possible to change username on reddit but you can change the nick name
 
You can change themes, there is nothing forbidden in it, like any user you can change interests. But you can't change your nickname, unfortunately
 
I would really want a new name for reddit too, had a really stupid one for years. As far as I know it's not possible.
 
The theme can be changed but there's one implication many don't think about: the engagement history in specific subreddits that the account made before being changed to a new niche. If you're going to start engaging in new subreddits, then it will take a while until the account will gain some trust in these new subreddits, so that posted content will have high chances to stick.

would be nice to have a new one too for a change haha! guess it's not possible, at least for now :weep:

so my best option for now is to create a new one and do it in there? gotta take time again to boost it up though :weep:
