is it possible to remain anonymous form anonymous proxy??

hi guys, im new here and still learning obviously.
I have an anonymous proxy which i use for ebay / paypal which is fine.
However i have one concern - the anonymous proxy provider could still release my details (i.p) etc to, for example, the police if they so desired.

Is it possible to remain truly anonymous, i.e., anonymous from the anonymous proxy itself.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Paranoia much? Anyways... Hop on a private and secure VPN like AirVPN and then go through the proxy....

Use the Tor network with a properly configured browser for anonymity like the Tor Browser Bundle (Google it), it provides you far greater anonymity by routing your traffic through multiple servers. If you need more information I'd be happy to provide you with it!

Well, that answer is yes and no. When you get on these anonymous proxies, some companies are REALLY anonymous, meaning they purge payment information, keep zero logs, and turn the other cheek. These do exist and they are great, but can be hard to find. 99% of "Anonymous" proxies you guys get will make you anonymous to the website you're trying to access. However, many keep logs for maintenance and security. They may not log activity, but of course they will log who logged in, and from where. If you are using a proxy to commit crimes, and the company gets a warrant, they'll release the information they have on you.

So, if crime or really Blackhat stuff is what you're in, I'd suggest a private VPN that has been extensively reviewed in reputable place. On the TOR network, you can find quite a lot of Private VPN providers who REALLY turn they heads away. Proxies too.

It will be safe if you use a proxy to access a secure website instead of a non-encrypted website. Secure websites such as PayPal use the encrypted (SSL) connections between the user and its server. Thus no one can know the sensitive data you sent or received.

For non-encrypted websites, it all depends on the proxy administrators. They are able to know the information you send and receive through the proxy. However most proxies won't record or monitor your traffic. They only transmit and receive data for you.

Private proxy is usually safer than public proxy. It's because the private proxy providers would lose their business if they stole the information of the users.
