Is it possible to Rank for images/backlinks only?!

Is it possible to rank website only for backlinks and images?!

I mean, with a very little written content?
I've found a very good niche, but most websites in this niche have a very little written content, not much articles, just mostly targeted prospects who come in, check if they can find what they need etc....

You can but keywords into images yes.
However, it is better for a site to have relevant content and added on a regular basis.
Sites with good content added regularly seem to out perform other sites with none.

yes you can do that, but why? I'm actually annoyed by the traffic i receive from google images, because the conversation rate for those is 0

Yes, you can rank websites with no content but it is harder to get it ranked in google .

I didn't mean "without" content....
but more something like eshop sites or , ok , hint - I mean in travel reservations - there are a large enough portion of people every day who travel or plan to travel and I bet 99 % of reservations they do on the internet, browsing with cc on hand, watching pictures and comparing prices...

But the sites that offer it - there are very little blog articles needed, they need reservation engine (optionally) , nice pictures, that everything is ok, more-less trust worthy looking site....and that's it....

But what are the best methods to rank in google it?!
