Is it possible to rank a subdomain..?

I have some white hat websites who was ranking on top for money keyword. But by the recent phantom update they goes down to second page for main keyword. After making good high quality link there is no improvement in ranking even single step. I used all methods niche related site redirect, high quality links, niche related links. But its been a month not a single step improvement. Now is it possible if i make a sub-domain and start working on it will it rank or not. Please share your tips and knowledge.

Creating a sub-domain also look like a new domain only, So it won't generate any value for you to rank on search engine.

There is only one way you have, You need to recover your website from recent updates.

Or you can start from new domain not subdomain of your existing domain.

If you go with subdomain which domain was affected already, it will be risky again.

I have ticketsites that are using sub domains for the artist i am ranking for like rihannatickets.myticketsite.com and they rank just fine, but oif your main domain is penalized your better off cloning your site and start over.

It's possible to rank them but I prefer subfolders to keep the juice flowing on all parts of the site.

Of course a subdomain can rank. Depending on the keyword it can be fairly easy. Its just like ranking a landing page.
