Is it possible to mine crypto on a VPS ?

has anyone tired mining crpyto on a VPS? .. I was doing some research on google completely unrelelated to cryptocurreny and the thought just came to me ... can you mine bitcoin on a VPS ... Now I'm searching for answers

Everybody buys expensive GPUs, shouldnt the common sense help here?

Short answer - its possible, but there is reason why no one does that - nowadays mining requires a lot of processing power.

True indeed brother! ... Yes it is common sense however i was wondering if it would have made sense mining on a VPS but as ypu said it call for alot of processing power

not actually mining but my shitty toaster earns 0.4$ a day
I put all my servers doing it. CPU is 100% but doesn't affect website speed

Yes, you can but it is not really worth it now.

You can mine crypto on a microwave oven if you're smart enough. All you need is a processor. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

Crypto mining has become very difficult ever since ASIC miners came along. Most GPUs fail to mine sufficient crypto, so what can you expect from a $5 VPS?

You can mine a lot of cryptos on VPS but not Bitcoin or any top coins.
