Only if you're in a place with cheap electricity and willing to invest 6 figures

If I remember correctly, I was told I was making one cent a day because I’m using Apple devices.

Also, Apple is against crypto mining.
You cannot make a living mining crypto on Apple devices, because why the hell would you mine crypto on Apple devices? Get a damn rig at least. And even then, it won't be enough unless you invest thousands (and expect nothing, this can all collapse).

Staking is a better alternative and all major exchanges support it
It's usually around 10% per year or more

Hell no,I need $10000 US or more for a mining rig to be profitable its not a get rich scheme. It will take 1 year or more to get back your investment including electricity cost.

Yes you can make a living by mining crypto as there are many people doing so.
But if you are starting in 2022 you might be late and this isn't the best place to ask this question.
You can get better suggestions on some crypto niche online groups & communities.

Mining is something done for long term. If someone starts now and keeps the mining rewards invested, it can grow by a lot in coming years.

Its waste of time and money. if you get mine and get withdrawals instantly.

I have 200 gpus, is it profitable right now? No maybe im left with 300$ a month in profit if even that, do i make a shit ton of etherum? Yes i do. Was if profitable back in the days? Yes there was months even worth 10k$/month. But you should never look at mining in $. In stacking up eth so im looking in to the future and never count in $. Also what i paid for graphics cards cant be compared with the prices now. I made my investment back within 7 months and been raping the gpus since 2017

Are you selling the ETH you mine to pay for your expenses? Or are you funding it with other income and holding ETH long term

Maybe you'd make some profits if you rented those GPUs on a distributed computing service?

Something like Vast.ai and Qblocks. They ask you to run their software on your machines so others from the internet can rent it for ai/ml or video rendering tasks.

An acquaintance of mine is doing something like that. He asically made a small datacenter in his basement from used server hardware he got from his job (he worked for the IT dept there) and then rented it out on a platform like Vast. Said he is making some good money.
