If someone uses a site like "whatismywordpresstheme" that shows the theme and plugins, is it possible that i can set something up to hide what plugins are shown?

Cheers

Yeap.
Use HideMyWp , paid wp plugin on theme forest.

Here is how you do it:

Play around with the options and you will make it.I've done that in the past with success but don't remember the exact settings. The above is just an illustration.

.htaccess can help also.

P.S Disable Firewall in this tool, security issues lately.

Good luck

I use HideMyWp, too. It's the best option you can get, I believe.

Try,putting in to your htaccess without the quote marks "Options All -Indexes"
Then re test your results..if anything is astray just delete it from .htaccess

If you hide the fact that you are using WP using the plugin said above then it also hides what plugins you are using.

I'm going to buy the Hide My WP Plugin - Seems like a nice bet.

Does any have an .htaccess file template to stop majestic / ahrefs / moz / all other major link searches (apart from Google of course) from being able to crawl a website? (apologies for minor hijacking)
