is it possible to do free marketing on reddit

i have an affliate blog , i want to get free traffic to it and build backlinks , so i want to give reddit a try but i heard that reddit is very strict with external links and reddit users do not like mareketing posts . so is there anyone here has used reddit before to bring traffic and leads with a free method ?

It's hard to post links yourself without getting called out on it, but I've had people post links to my site.

I've also edited my link into old posts for a backlink.

as a new user i gonna look spammy and get banned right ?
 
They say they hate ads but the website is covered in ads when you really look at it.

I've also got local press for my sites from reddit because reporters are lazy and just report what's trending on reddit.
 
yes its possible to bring traffic and leads from reddits but you need to get aged accounts, how old your account? is that new or aged?
 
reddit users are very savvy so it's hard to throw a link without getting called for it. one possible solution is to hire someone to do it for you
 
Make it look real. Try to contribute first and after few posts try to share the URL as an informative source. Don't do anything in the rush.

i am afraid to say its totally a new one
 
If your website helps solve a problem, you might be able to promote.
You will need a good established account.

Use reddit for some time as your social media. Interact. Offer value. This way you should increase your karma and also notice how things move in certain subreddits.

But, keep in mind that website that scream affiliate are hard to 'sell' on reddit.
 
Try to make a new account and contribute to a subreddit that covers your niche. It’s best if your blog name is also your Reddit username. Even if you are not able to post links, you will build a reputation. Eventually, you can talk about things related to the content on your blog, which will redirect people to your blog and increase your traffic.
 
There are many ways to spam Reddit with your links
