As the title says is it possible to change your computer ID?? I have a trial of a program I was using but it didnt give me enough time to check out all the features so i am looking to change my pc id to use it again

Thanks

By ID do you mean your network adaptor MAC address? If so, it'll depend on the PC/network card/OS, but it's not that hard. Google 'change MAC Address'; if you already know how to bring up the properties of your network card you may be able to change the MAC addr ther by hand anyway. If you don't mean MAC addr, please tell us what you do mean and maybe someone can help further.

Nope he is talking about CPU ID !! and to OP it cant be changed u have to messed up with hardware better install in seprate pc and check it out !!

Is the program that expensive that you can not go ahead and buy it? Consider running it on a different PC or your Windows VPS if you have one. You can get one for a month for $20. Not sure how much that will help but its an idea.

Thanks.

me & a couple guys are currently working on this, it may involve custom versons of virtual pc instances

This seems a bit like overkill. Why don't you look around for a hack or something? There is certainly no logic in continuing to pursue the renaming of your CPU.

What are you running that should require that?

And as others suggested, why not just run it from within a VPS. Just get VMware, and install a windows XP installation, and run it off that.

I think you are out of touch with what is needed to continually run trial softwares. Good luck though.

You can user TrialReset for keep evaluating your program before you buy it.

i too really wish that i could change all my device ID from an application, like in android, but i do not know how i can, but we can install virtual PC

definitely go for a vps, they're quite cheap nowadays and it beats the effort of trying to change your cpu id....and btw, if everything else fails and you think it's cheaper get a new cpu :d

Put the software on a Virtual Machine make sure keep a snapshot of the virtual machine before installation. When the trial software expires use the snapshot you created before the installation of the trial software and change the mac address of the virtual machine.Install the trial software again and bingo get to use it again.
