Is it possible to boost old videos ?

Hello everyone, I'm a noob and I once read that you gotta "view boost" your video within the first 3 days after release, if you want your video to appear a lot as suggestion. Is this correct? Or could you also boost an older video ? Thanks

It's quite the opposite, it's easier with aged videos, but it's best to make it look natural.

If a view count of your video not stuck/freeze you can add views anytime if you want no matter it is old video.

To get your video appear in lot suggestion, you need to add more related keyword as a title and description of your video.

There's nothing like that. Aged videos are the same as new videos when it comes to ranking.

I've attemped to increase the ranking of many of my older vids (over a year old), even blasting 500,000 high retention views to one. I've never had any success increasing their ranking. I have a much easier time with brand new videos.

There is no time limit in terms of boosting after you got your video uploaded.

Whilst openly it might not be we have found it difficult to boost older videos on an indidcual basis

Where we have had success is by boosting the individual video and other videos within a channel. YouTube now considers time on site and channel as key - Link some of your newer videos to the older one may also help (something we are yet to test)

Aged or new it doesn't really matter, I would agree with a lot of the comments though aged videos are easier to rank - also build links to your videos!
