Build a platform that a group of people are attracted to and are willing to interact with either with their presence, their $, or a combination of both. This does not require an extraordinary level of 'hard work' as many instruct.

With straight IM it's entirely possible. It just depends on what it is you're doing (actual marketing, or spamming, bid time/small time) and the time frame.
But in all honestly, it's best to take the real marketing you learn from here, and apply it to something you genuinely enjoy. 100% serious. If you've got a hobby you're fascinated by and love eating information about, start a fucking youtube channel and make some down to earth honest info vids, offer a free, solid ebook on it through a realistic squeeze page, and email market to them about real products you put together. Maybe even throw a blog in there too. Just as long as it's something your really know and care about, it doesn't even matter what the fuck it is, you can get an audience from it. NAMBLA exists. Point closed.
When you do this, you'll make more than enough money, wont even care about money, and feel fucking awesome all the time, because helping others feels awesome regardless, but helping spread your love for whatever it is you have love for is the most fulfilling feeling there is.
This is what I've been doing the past year and it's waaaaay more than full-time income for a part-time "job". I hate to say it, but going legit is so much easier than going blackhat, and I don't think I'll be going back.

Sure and it is a lot easier than "without internet"! All you need is to come up with a good plan and follow through!
The good plan doesnt come by itself, you need to motivate yourself and keep acting on new ideas and things until you find something that works. Then you stick to it and scale it out!
