Is it possible that IG limit engagement in certain niches?

I have around 6 accounts, two being in the hot girls niche and since they've become slightly big (23k and 19k) the engagement has seemed to drop to around 1%. It was usually around 3-4%. I can't really think of another reason for this as the content has remained the same quality. But as I've noticed other 'hot girls' accounts on IG seem to mostly have relatively low engagement. So is it possible that because they probably don't really like these accounts they lower your engagement? Any fix for this?

They limited organic engagement but all of your followers still see your pictures
