Is it ok Using EAN number on AMAZON.COM ?

Hi. I have just started to dropship on amazon. My warehouse is Georgia, USA based. I am to add some new products to AMAZON.COM an bought some from a EBay seller. He gave me EAN numbers and He told me that using EAN number on AMAZON.com is safe, I can use EAN nu7mber on amazon.com and there will be no problem. Is it ok?
