Is it ok to update frequenty GMB with this method?

Google just approved a new GMB, linked to a site containing some landing pages dedicated to specific cities (good content).
My strategy is to continue on-page SEO and starting build backlinks.

I want to squeeze also GMB in the best way... since I have it

I had this idea: when I'll find news on online magazines about my niche, I take a screenshot of them and post it on gmb as image.
I could also add hashtags and/or single links related to some urls.

This way GMB will see content that is updated quite frequently, and I don't have duplicate text problems neither worry about build new articles.

Does that make sense?
