Is it OK to Reuse Content from a Penalized Domain?

I had a website get hit with an unnatural links penalty a few months back.

I want to start up a similar website, but I want to use some of the content that was on the penalized domain.

If I do a 'site removal' request in Google on the penalized domain and wait for Google to update its cache, can I use the old content on the new website??

Do you think Google will recognize that the content was associated with a penalized domain?

I've reused content in the past without an issue. That was for churn and burn projects, so all the domains eventually got penalized. THey were being spammed to death, but still I can't say for long term it would work 100%.

i also reused the content for my penalized website and it did fine without any problem , but use at your own risk for long term strategy .

Cool, looks like Google has de-indexed the old website now so I can start moving content over to the new domain.
