I've heard people call it both, just wondering which one you think it is, or which one you prefer?

I also prefer the British pronunciation Neesh, I don't like Nitch.

Neesh is proper pronunciation for Niche, You will find people lots of people with different pronunciation depends on what ascent they speak.

It's 'Neeesh' - don't know where this 'nitch' crap came from, there's no 't' in niche!

Origin of niche

French, from Middle French, from nicher to nest, from Vulgar Latin *nidicare, from Latin nidus nest — First Known Use: 1611

Trust me, there's no way the French are pronouncing it nitch. I think it's an American/Canadian pronounciation only?

No need to be a little beesh about it.

I kinda say it like the word 'nice', so something like nyshe.. Pretty sure that's the way to go

How`bout "nicchi"?

I was just thinking about yesterday, I used to say nitch, but i think neesh is the proper way.

I say my company, those words bother me for some reason, probably because if you say them to any one outside of the business world, you get a funny look.
