Is it me or reddit changed?

Now your posts go to new instead of hot and the title can no longer be a link, these are bad changes for marketing aren't they? I even made some question posts and got no response at all. this is fucked up

Yes correct but posts usually went to 'new' instead of 'HOT'
ALSO what you are seeing is in reddit revamp. Old reddit still has them linked together.

I've actually seen more engagement on link submissions since the redesign. Slightly less engagement on text/image posts than before. I personally use old.reddit.com just because it keeps out the sponsored posts on desktop and I think it's less resource intensive.

Reddit has faced issues from the media regarding botting, fake news manipulation (regarding US election, etc.) so those changes make sense. I'm going to assume they will make more changes in the near future, as will all social media platforms, to improve their advertising systems and increase difficulty of free marketing for marketers so they can increase company profits.

With Reddit, remember that a lot of people are still using the old Reddit so some of the changes that just affect the new layout may not don't apply to all Redditors. A lot have complained about the redesign and haven't switched. Old design is live at: old.reddit.com
