I had restored to factory settings and the blue screen of death was still happening. So I thought a moment about it and realized that right after I restored to factory settings, I downloaded the latest version of firefox. I thought surely it isn't firefox giving me blue screens as soon as I turn the laptop on and sign onto windows. So I downloaded firefox 3.5 because that was the first stable version that is still in working order today, and got rid of the current version of firefox. No more blue screens. However 3.5 was slow. I then downloaded spoon.net and the browsers run beautifully. I keep 3.5 in case of an emergency. I wonder how many people buy a new computer thinking that their computer is dying with constant blue screens (even after restoring to factory settings). You don't think it's firefox causing it, but it was in my case.
