If i use omegle to get horny guys to email me at the address i gave them then i reply to them a while later with something with my dating affiliate link in it is that considered spam and illegal? I'm just wondering because i know it would be if you just blast a bunch of emails you scraped, but since they emailed me first, do i have the right to send them whatever i want?

They have to opt in --- that being said, the gov isn't going to come looking for you because your operation wouldn't be big enough for them to warrant coming after you.

Well no, but I can't see the police coming to your door because you spammed some email addresses off Omegle. They have bigger fish to fry.

Wouldn't this be a really slow way of harvesting emails?
 
well, you are not using any bot to send mass emails right... so its safe moreover they have sent you email first and you are just replying to each of them, I reply to 100+ mails at times on a single given day that is not illegal for any reason
 
It's not slow if you use an Omegle spammer bot. Anyway this is a big let down because i've been working on something all day and i thought it was legal to send emails to people who have already emailed you.
 
I think you can get away with it.
 
Depends on the country you're in. Its not legal here in Canada. You need double-opt in and stuff.
 
So which is it then? illegal or not.

Note: the omegle spammer is for collecting emails.

Yes, but there's nothing more targeted than that. Well, maybe PPC, but for free.

And depending how it's done it might not be that slow. I get like 150-300 messages a day to my inboxes, and then autoreply to them.

OP, just use proxies and you're golden. More worries about some of them complaining to your affiliate network really.
But like said, depends on your country. Most likely yes.
 
you'll get 25 to life for doing this. Cover your ass before CIA finds out what you're upto.

What problem? :p Sending a few replies to some mails you get is not a big thing. If you rent plenty servers and blasting few million mails, it is the real thingy. CIA n FBI got better things to do lmfao
 
Back in the day what you would do is register a domain similar to a dating site you were going to promote. Then you would create a fake version of the site with "your" profile that had some pics on it. You would send them a link to that page and if they clicked on pretty much anything, they would get taken to the dating site to signup. That way, instead of giving them an email you could just give them a link to "your profile". So you could do something like that instead of giving them an email. Or you could send that in the email to distance yourself further and muddy the waters as to whether or not the whole spam thing would apply. Frankly I don't think given you have a relationship with them and they're emailing you that it really applies anyway but that's just my opinion. Was just looking and I still have one of those sites on my dev system.. lol
