Is it even worth learning code instead of Ux/Ui if you don't plan to dig deep with Javascript/php?

On several threads I see the same thing, people are selling wordpress web design through templates, also I know that javascript and maybe php too have a lot of scalability and if you aren't very good with them aka you can't create some of the most wanted technologies then you won't go far with web developing. I guess that takes time and skill.

This makes me wonder, if you can already sell web design with wordpress and since code requires lots of dedication in order to pay off, why would you even bother learning code instead of something like Ux and Ui and sell web design through wordpress that includes them? Is there any advantage at knowing basic code if you plan to sell Ux/Ui web design? couldn't you do everything with wordpress? can't you take a photoshop design and turn it all to a site with wordpress templates? would that give you an advantage over the rest wordpress designers?

You can choose between being a codemonkey and being a designmonkey.
Being a codemonkey pays more and you have the chance of becoming a millionaire if you develop a good enough product, whereas you'll more than likely never cross more than 6 figures as a UI designer. And honestly, everyone who spent a month with Photoshop can be a "UI professional" nowadays, not to mention that there are tools which automate the process, especially for mobile development.

Both aren't hard. Especially if you can think logically.

Web design means nothing, user study and analytics means everything
That's why some site with a design from the 90s sell better than super nice looking designs from 2050

Therefore it makes sense to use something very adjustable and customizable

I just thought that even as a designmonkey, you have to still know how to code the site and design but I guess that's not true anymore? you can do the same thing with templates?

Having a custom coded wordpress website is better in the long run. No stupid markup errors, no useless scripts, faster loading speed, better rankings in time.

Some times too with a wordpress theme you will need to program it a bit for fit your needs.

PHP and Javascript aren't complex enough, there is worse ahaha
