This making money online is not easy well i knew it was not going to be but damn can a brother at least make a couple of cents to keep the motivation alive.
Im using the amazon affiliate program+tumblr and classified sites like craigslist+backpage. Its been about 3 weeks of me implementing this method and all i have to show for it is 18 clicks and 0 conversions i do understand that it takes some people years to start generating any kind of income and god bless those people because you really need to have patience. So my question is this what keep you guys motivated? setback after setback hours and hours spent how the hell do you not loose it and throw your computer into the wall. Any and all kind of input will be very much appreciated.

The thing that kept me motivated was that big break.

After trying to make it big for months I had finally hit my groove and was making more that I though I would.

And as for your 3 weeks, thats like 30 seconds in this field. Keep trying new methods and LEARN new things.

Hope I helped. ;)

Everyone have different kind of motivations, you need to find the right one for you.
Even if you start a real time business you will have to work your ass off in the first months to get the business running you will achieve breakeven after some months (Breakeven is no profit no loss point) after that you will start seeing very little profit but it will keep increasing from there on. Just like that look at your project in the long term :).
I wish you success

I'm in the same position you're in. I'm a little over a month in without conversions, but I expected this. I went in to this with the mindset that it's not going to happen in a few weeks, or even a few months. I see it the same as paying for an education. My time is payment for an education. I think of it also as a new business startup, just as the above poster said. I feel that the more time I put in to learning and doing new things, the greater the payoff is in the end. Always stay positive and look at the bigger picture. Think about all of the money that can be made in IM, or whatever is your driving force. I always think about that when I'm frustrated.

When you're down on this type of thing, remember this solid fact:

- many, many others who are no more talented or intelligent than you have succeeded in IM, and make a lot of money

Why? Because they do two things:

- try different things as often and cheaply as possible
- are motivated

Keep failing cheaply until you find your angle. It might not be what you've been trying so far.
